Double Squiggle Design Tutorial

1. Pick 3 different colors. (The example uses purple, white, yellow, & black.. You will need 2 strands of white, yellow and black.

2. Align string, fold in half, and tie knot ½ inch from fold forming a loop.

3. Attach your ½ inch loop to MYFBM under the butterfly clip.

4. Separate strings by placing one string per slot. Note: Use the same color in slots 0, 4, 5, & 11 (white), slots 1, 3, 8 & 10 (yellow), 2, 6, 7 & 9 (black). This will align the colors of your bracelet pattern.

5. Take the string in slot 8 (yellow) and left hand double knot it on each string in slots 7 and 6.

6. Take the string in slot 9 (black) and left hand double knot it on each string in slot 8 and 7.

7. Take the string in slot 10 (yellow) and left hand double knot it on each string in slot 9 and 8.

8. Take the string in slot 11 (white) and left hand double knot it on each string in slot 10 and 9. String 11 should end in slot 9.

9. Take string (white) and right hand double knot it on each string in slot 10 and 11. String 9 (white) should end in slot 11.

10. Take string 8 (yellow) and right hand double knot it on each string in slots 9 and 10.

11. Take string 7 (black) and right hand double knot it on each string in slots 8 and 9.

12. Take string 6 (yellow) and right hand double knot it on each string in slots 7 and 8.

13. Take string 3 (yellow) and right hand double knot it on each string in slots 4 and 5.

14. Take string 2 (black) and right hand double knot it on each string in slots 3 and 4.

15. Take string 1 (yellow) and right hand double knot it on each string in slots 2 and 3.

16. Take string 0 (white) and right hand double knot it on each string in slots 1 and 2.

17. Take string 2 (white) and left hand double knot it on each string in slots 1 and 0.

18. Take string 3 (yellow) and left hand double knot it on each string in slots 2 and 1.

19. Take string 4 (black) and left hand double knot it on each string in slots 3 and 2.

20. Take string 5 (yellow) and left hand double knot it on each string in slots 4 and 3.

21. Take string 6 and left hand double knot it on each string in slots 5 and 4.

22. Take string in slot 7 and left hand double knot it on each string in slot 6 and 5.

23.At this point you have finished one rotation of the pattern. Repeat steps 5-22 and watch your bracelet grow! When you think your bracelet is long enough to fit around your wrist braid strings from slots 0-5 and make a second braid from strings from slots 6-12.

24. Take the braided strings and tie a basic knots at the end of your braids.

25. Unclip your Double Squiggle friendship bracelet from the clip and cut off the excess braided section.
