1. Pick 4 different color threads for this pattern. (The example uses pink, black, white & green).

2. Align string, fold in half, and tie knot ½ inch from fold forming a loop.

3. Attach your ½ inch loop to MYFBM under the clip.

4. Separate strings by placing one string per slot. Note: Use the same color in slots 2 & 9 (pink), 3 & 8 (black), 4 & 7 (white) & 5 & 6 (green). This will align the colors of your bracelet pattern.

5. To start, you will need to make 4 single Arrows (see Arrow Pattern for instructions). One with each of your 4 colors in order (pink, black, white & green).

6. Make another Arrow with your pink strings. This will be the start of your diamond.

7. Take string #2 (black) and make 2 right hand double knots. One each, on string #3 (white) & one on string #4 (green). String #2 (black) will now be in slot 4.

8. Take string #9 (black) from the opposite side and make 2 left hand double knots. One each, on string #8 (white) & one on string #7 (green). String #9 (black) will now be in slot 7.

9. Now take string #2 (white) and make a right hand double knot with string #3 (green). String #2 (white) will now be in slot 3.

10. On the opposite side take string #9 (white) and make a left hand double knot with string #8 (green). String #9 (white) will now be in slot 8.

11. With your center strings #5 & #6 (both pink) make a right hand double knot.

12. Now take string #6 (pink) and make 3 right hand double knots. One each, on string #7 (black), string #8 (white) & string #9 (green). String #6 (pink) will now be in slot 9.

13. Use string #5 (pink) and make 3 left hand double knots. One each, on string #4 (black), string #3 (white) & string #2 (green). String #5 (pink) will now be in slot 2.

14. Both pink strings should be in your outer slots 2 & 9 at this point.

15. Take string #5 (black) and make a 3 right hand double knots. One each, on string #6 (black), string #7 (white) & string #8 (green). String #5 (black) will now be in slot 8.

16. Take your new string #5 (black) and make 2 left hand double knots. One each, one string #4 (white) & string #3 (green). String #5 (black) will now be in slot 3.

17. Now take your center strings in slots 5 & 6 (both white) and make a right hand double knot.

18. Take string #6 (white) and make a right hand double knot with string #7 (green). String #6 (white) will now be in slot 7.

19. Take string #5 (white) and make a left hand double knot with string #4 (green). String #5 (white) will now be in slot 4.

20. Your center strings in slots 5 & 6 should both be green. Join these two strings with a right hand double knot. String #5 will now be in slot 6 and string #6 in slot 5.

21. Take string #2 (pink) and make 3 right hand double knots. One each, on string #3 (black), string #4 (white) & string #5 (green). String #2 (pink) will now be in slot 5.

22. Take string #9 (pink) and make 3 left hand double knots. One each, on string # 8 (black), string #7 (white) and string #6 (green). String #9 (pink) will now be in slot 6.

23. Join your center pink strings from slots 5 & 6 to complete your diamond.

24. Repeat steps 7 – 23 to continue your diamond pattern.

25. Once you bracelet is long enough to fit your wrist you can make a few arrows at the end of your bracelet just like you did in the beginning. Then hold 3 strings from slots 2-4 with your left hand and 3 strings from slots 7-9 with your right hand. Braid the strings from your left and right hands with the 2 remaining center strings.

20. Take the braided strings and tie two basic knots at the end of your friendship bracelet.

21. Unclip your friendship bracelet from the clip and cut off the excess braided section. Your bracelet made with the friendship bracelet pattern Diamond is ready to wear or share!
