Link Design Tutorial

1. Pick 2 different colors. (The example uses purple & white). You will need 3 strands of purple and 3 strands of white.

2. Align string, fold in half, and tie a knot ½ inch from the fold to form a loop.

3. Attach your ½ inch loop to My Friendship Bracelet Maker under the clip.

4. This pattern has 10 strings (the two extra will be removed before you start knotting). Arrange the same color in slots 1, 4, 5, 8, 9 (white) and slots 2, 3, 6, 7, 10 (purple). Simply cut the remaining strings (one white and one purple) close to the knot, to remove from pattern.

5. Take string #2 (purple) and make a left hand double knot with string #1 (white). String #2 (purple) will now be in slot 1.

12. Take string #6 (white) and make a right hand double knot with string #7 (white). String #6 (white) will now be in slot 7.

13. Take string #8 (purple) and make a right hand double knot with string #9 (purple). String #8 (purple) will now be in slot 9.

23. At this point you’ve completed one rotation of the pattern. Repeat steps 5-22 until your bracelet is long enough to wear.

24. Once you bracelet is long enough to fit your wrist take three strings from the slots 1–3 in your left hand and three strings from slots 8-10 in your right hand and braid with the remaining 4 center strings.

25. Take the braided strand and tie two basic knots at the end of your friendship bracelet. You can now cut off the extra string (after the knot you just made) and unclip your friendship bracelet.

You’re now ready to wear or share your new fabulous friendship bracelet!
